Not Very Nice…

February 3, 2018 – Sarasota, FL – Ever wonder why lawyers are hated so much. Well for one, they charge too much for their services. And two; they think they are above the law which they are sworn to protect and enforce in the courts.

Here is a story about Restaurant.com. My friend just recently opened a restaurant in Sarasota and 2 weeks after their opening in strolls a customer who eats and when paying produces this coupon from Restaurant .com for $10.00 off a $14.00 tab.

Naturally there is some confusion here so I get the phone call asking if I setup the restaurant on Restaurant.com. I told the owner no. DO NOT HONOR THE COUPON. And they didn’t.
The customer got all pissed off that we don’t honor the coupon and refused to pay the whole bill saying Restaurants.com is a reputable company and that we are legally bound to accept the coupon. (NOT!) Assuming that we had signed up for the service which we did not.

So after further research I found our Doctor/Lawyer CEO is the steward of a company that has a couple hundred complaints against it with the BBB. Most of which have been resolved but still some linger as unresolved. And some of those complaints were exactly about what just happened to my friend.

They do not verify that the owner or someone of authority has enlisted their services. So in the meantime a person gathering a few coupons pays $4.00 or more for a coupon and they get nothing but a hard time for their purchase when they present the coupon to the business.

Now I know he will see this and that is fine with me so Dr. Chessick, I asked you on your LinkedIn inMail to cooperate with me in removing YunNan Noodle Company from your system. Please do this. You know as well as I that the pen is mightier than the sword.

I’m beginning to feel like the Democrats, building a dossier on someone for future engagement.

I reached out to their CEO, Dr. Kenneth C. Chessick, MD, JD. and have not received a response back from him as of this writing but I am sure I will either get a nasty-gram or a polite, ‘Yes we goofed,” from him and that will be fine. Either way this needs to be resolved as Restaurant.com has just done some Major damage to my friends reputation and her dream of owning a restaurant.
